An Otis College of Art and Design graduate, I learned under Ralph Bacerra, shaping my use of negative space and surface design. I aim to craft elegant forms highlighted by surface, texture, and color. My current pieces are hand-built or thrown, traditionally glazed, fired, or finished with alternative techniques.

To me, alternative firing is akin to abstract expressionist painting. Whereas a painter wields brush and paint to create color, texture, the ceramicist wields smoke, fire, wood, and air. Both rely on elements of randomness and control.
